Unknown Sources maintains full compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. Our service implements rigorous safeguards when processing healthcare data through FHIR APIs.

While our service facilitates FHIR API queries, users remain responsible for ensuring their use of our platform complies with applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, when accessing or processing Protected Health Information (PHI).

By accessing or using Unknown Sources's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Unknown Sources provides a platform that transforms natural language healthcare queries into FHIR API requests. Our service is built using Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, and leverages AI capabilities through Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. We utilize Vercel KV for storage, FHIR Healthcare API for healthcare data interfacing, Polar.sh for community features, Zod for data validation, and NileDB for database operations.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update this information to maintain its accuracy.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account information. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Use of Services

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

  • Use the services to violate any law or regulation
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights

Our services transform natural language queries into FHIR API requests. You acknowledge that:

  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • The accuracy of FHIR queries depends on the clarity of your input
  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations when using generated FHIR queries
  • Healthcare data accessed through our service should be verified for accuracy

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are owned by Unknown Sources or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through our services. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute that content in connection with providing our services.
